I just finished reading through various reviews and I have to agree with them. There are several issues with the unit that would prevent me from buying one: 1) If the unit is set to "" IPOD "" IPod and turn off / remove or block has the value "" Aux "" no audio source connected there is a definite " "bitch," "noise from the unit. It sounds like either a poorly designed power supply circuit, which could use a filter or unfiltered noise from the microprocessor that controls the block. 2) the display is too bright, even in dim settings and resets itself when the radio is turned off and on. Once the unit is out of warranty, I mean breaking the dimmer circuit to reduce the brightness of the dim. I would prefer to have a variable control, such as "" Set "" wheels, able to adjust the brightness, so regardless of the level and I wish he remembers that setting. 3) The unit seems to have trouble switching through different modes (eg Aux, IPod, radio). By pressing "" Audio "" button to switch to another audio source does not always result in a block switching. Sometimes I have to press "," Sounds, "" to switch homedics alarm from the audio mode and press "" Audio "" button again to get a change of mode.
